Stanley D. M. Carpenter, Emeritus Professor of Strategy and retired US Navy Captain, US Naval War College in Newport, RI, focuses on the American Revolution period, the British Civil Wars, and the twentieth-century world wars. His most recent work, Southern Gambit: Cornwallis and the British March to Yorktown, addresses the conflict from the British strategic perspective. Kevin J. Delamer, retired US Navy Commander and aviator, is a former Naval War College Strategy Department Military Professor. Now a Department of the Navy consultant, he teaches the Naval War College Strategy and War non-resident seminar at the US Naval Academy and also publishes on naval aviation and World War II. James R. McIntyre, Associate Professor of History at Moraine Valley College in Chicago, specializes in American Revolution German auxiliaries, the war in the middle colonies, and eighteenth-century irregular warfare. Recent works address the development of light infantry in the eighteenth century, the Philadelphia Campaign of 1777–1778, and a biography of Johann Ewald. He teaches the Strategy and War non-resident seminar in Great Lakes, Illinois. Andrew T. Zwilling, Assistant Professor of Strategy at the Naval War College, teaches strategy as well as oversees the College of Distance Education's Strategy and War online curriculum. Specialties include the American Revolution, the British Mediterranean, the Royal Navy, and eighteenth and nineteenth-century naval history.
