Description

Halifax -North Atlantic military outpost guarding Fortress America: 1954. Hitler rules Europe and keeps a precarious treaty with the alliance. The retired gods and two very special street children - Toby and Sugar, the last of the Sun Children - are hidden here to prevent the Führer from achieving immortality and world domination. Toby and Sugar - twin offspring of Ra, the Egyptian god of the sun - survive life on the streets of postwar Halifax, including feral dogs, cruel police and street gangs, only to be kidnapped by Sharbone the Magnificent, an evil magician. The children are swept up in the affairs of world leaders and the gods themselves, one of whom is secretly planning to bring about Armageddon. In this dark fantasy of loyalty and betrayal, of inner strength and survival, the Sun Children must face their worst fears as their loyalty is stretched to breaking in order to save themselves and the rest of humanity from certain destruction.
