Author Biography:

About the Author: J.D. Parsons has expressed himself through the written word for as long as he can remember. After obtaining a BA in communications in 2007, Parsons began writing full time. His work ranges from writing blog posts and children's books to editing and proofreading various genres. Parsons began The Tortoise's New Adventures series as a way to reinforce the importance of accepting and respecting one another while also seeking out the good in others. About the Illustrator: Tere is a lifelong artist who pursued her fine arts education in college. In the late 1980s, she applied her artistic abilities as a graphic artist and designer. Through her children's books illustrations, she is able to use all the techniques she has learned and knowledge she has obtained over the years. Tere believes that everyone is born with the gift to create. An experienced art teacher, she encourages creative self-expression and is an example of how important it is to never give up on your dreams.
