His books include excursion guides (The Hot Springs Trail Series; The Siskiyou Peaks Trail), guidebook companions (The Hot Springs Trail Almanac), and travel memoirs (The Adventure Catalogue). He lives in Ashland, Oregon and is a certified Nutrition Coach & Health Counselor who educates as a public speaker to promote longevity and endurance.
