Description

A humorous account of life aboard a Royal Navy frigate in the 1960s. I describe a voyage from the U.K. to the Far East with many adventures and mishaps on the way. The story involves active service in the Indonesian Confrontation, on river patrols with the Gurkhas and Royal Marines in the jungles of Brunei and Sarawak. A sailor's view of the bars and night life of Hong Kong and Singapore are also described. Aiding Pacific Islanders in a time of famine were part of our duties on this adventure packed voyage
