Description

When Luke and Katie McCoy lose their farm to an unscrupulous land-grabber, they are uprooted from their home and way of life as they know it. Forced to move to the city to look for work, things start to get really complicated. The brazen, courageous Katie is not afraid to face danger nor to seek retribution. Often, it seems that danger finds her, and Luke has his hands full as he tries to keep the situation in check and Katie safe. When their closest friend, Hoose, gets railroaded on a murder charge and faces his almost certain execution, Katie and Luke join their new friends to plan the perfect escape. Lives are changed, humor abounds, and faith and resiliency are renewed. And, Luke, always trusting in Katie's decisions, breathes a sigh of relief! J.G. Jakes' The River Rages is the second book of The River's Trilogy, full of drama, romance and humor.
