"Couldn't put it down."

As a parent of a neurodivergent child, this book felt very close to home. The tell tale signs of a difficult child, the ignorance of people on the outside not understanding, it was well shown. On the mystery side of things, the story just kept going and going. Many twists and turns, a few red herrings and that is what makes a great book. First murder mystery book I've read since become an adult that was written by a kiwi. Going to look for his other books now too. Highly recommend

Description

Cameron and Lisa Murdoch are successful crime-writers. They have been on the promotional circuit, joking that no-one knows how to get away with crime like they do. After all, they write about it for a living. So when their 7 year old son Zach goes missing, naturally the police and the public wonder if they have finally decided to prove what they have been saying all this time - are they trying to show how they can commit the perfect crime?
