Author Biography:

Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867) was a leading French poet known for his controversial approach. He published his most famous work, Les Fleurs du Mal in 1857, but many of the poems were banned for their explicit material. He died at the age of forty-six on 31 August 1867 in Paris.
