Valerie Dubois loses her credit cards, passport and driver license to a purse snatcher. Her stolen identity takes on a life of its own when the credit card companies and the police prove inept in catching the thieves and relieving her mounting card debts. Her success in making contact with a huge identity theft ring brings her closer to clearing her name and introduces her to an unexpected romance. But credit card debt becomes the least of her concerns when she finds herself in the middle of murder and the struggle for control of a fortune in stolen money and property. At the same time airline pilot, Captain Marv Lambert, is facing another kind of debt.
