Description

This reference text provides a comprehensive and concise overview of organic electronics, covering both the theoretical background physics and the physics of the materials and devices behind the technology. The book covers the electrical properties, structure of matter and physics of one-dimensional solids with their characteristic instabilities. A range of materials, including crystalline organic conductors and superconductors, organic semiconductors for organic electronics (small molecules, and polymers), and self-assembled molecular arrangements for molecular scale devices are discussed, alongside case studies, worked examples and pedagogical problems. This book provides an invaluable reference for graduate and senior undergraduate students, researchers, and engineers with a minimal background in condensed matter physics.
