Author Biography

Annette Briley qualified as a nurse in 1980 and then trained as a midwife. She has worked as a staff midwife, a labour ward sister, and a tutor of student nurses and other midwives. In 1997 she joined the Maternal and Feta Research Unit at Maidstone Hospital as a research midwife. She regularly writes and lectures in all aspects of midwifery and in married with three children. Tim Mungeam runs the charity, Parentalk, and is a father of two.
