Description

After being told, while attending Elementary school, that he might be mentally handicapped or have a severe learning disability Jim considered himself worthless and struggled through his childhood. During the last days, of his senior year, he was told by his Dean of Students that he should not come back and try again because he would never graduate. Shortly after High School he found himself a homeless drug addict and even considered suicide. Then he met someone who convinced him that he had the potential to be great and turned his life around. Today he has given himself to a life of inspiring others to find their own greatness and to live life to it's fullest.

Author Biography:

Jim Beach was born to two deaf parents. He learned American Sign Language before he could speak. Because of this, he struggled with the ability to communicate with the hearing world. He was incorrectly labeled as having a severe learning disability by his elementary school officials. It was not until Jim met someone at the age of 20 that he was able to improve his English and communication skills dramatically. Soon, he entered into the medical field, eventually moving on to business and sales. With over 20 years of sales experience, Jim has been the top sales person of several companies and believes that personal development helped him find success. Today he coaches, trains, and is a guest speaker for a variety of organizations on the topic of personal development. He is also the author of the book, "The Nickname That Didn't Stick".
