As the role of the multinational enterprise (MNE) in the economic development of countries grows, a focus on how MNEs influence the process of regulatory and legislative structures has developed among scholars of international political economy. Author Biography:

YUSAF H. AKBAR is Assistant Professor of International Political Economy at the IMC Graduate School of Management, Budapest, Hungary. His main teaching and research interests are in international trade and the politics of multinational enterprise strategy. He has also published Global Antitrust: Trade and Competition Linkages and his work has appeared in journals including Global Governance and Thunderbird International Business Review.
