Carl Vigeland , author of several books, including In Concert: Onstage and Offstage with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and, with Wynton Marsalis, Jazz in the Bittersweet Blues of Life , has written about music and other subjects for many magazines, including the Atlantic , Downbeat , the New York Times Magazine , and Boston magazine, for which he was the classical music columnist. He lives in Massachusetts.
