"Great Movie - Loved it"
4 stars"

This has so many levels – not just about the monsters in the mist, but about the monsters that lurk in peoples' hearts and souls. The acting is great, the tension builds as the story unfolds, and the ending will stay with you for a very long time.

Description

The Mist (Stephen King's)

Fear Changes Everything

In this legendary tale of terror from master storyteller Stephen King, David Drayton and his young son Billy are among a large group of terrified townspeople trapped in a local grocery store by a strange, otherworldly mist. David is the first to realize that there are things lurking in the mist… deadly, horrifying things… creatures not of this world.

Survival depends on everybody in the store pulling together… but is that possible, given human nature? As reason crumbles in the face of fear and panic, David begins to wonder what terrifies him more: the monsters in the mist – or the ones inside the store, the human kind, the people that until now had been his friends and neighbours?

Critic Reviews:

  • " H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos has long been one of King's guiding influences, and Frank Darabont's adaptation of The Mist honors that relationship while also working as a 21st-century political parable. " -Adam Nayman
  • " It's a horror movie of real conviction. It deserves to be a hit. " – Paul Clinton (CNN.com)
  • " A near-campy escapist thrill ride. " – Richard Roeper
