Possessed of both brilliant surfaces and surprising depths, Tournier’s myriad reflections on the mirror of language reveal why his works have generated international attention and acclaim.

Author Biography:

Michel Tournier is the author of more than twenty books, including Friday and The Ogre, both prizewinners. Jonathan F. Krell is an associate professor of French at the University of Georgia. He is the author of Tournier élémentaire.
