Description

Havana, capital of Cuba, was once a playground for the rich, the famous - and the infamous. In the early 20th century, before the revolution, Cuba was the world of Sinatra and the showgirls, mambo and marijuana, run by shady characters like 'Lucky' Luciano and Meyer Lansky. Prize-winning author Enrique Cirules takes readers into this shockingly glamorous and fantastically seedy world. In an extensive investigation into the former Cuban underworld, he exposes the close ties that existed between the Mafia, US business interests and intelligence agencies.
