Barber Barney Thomson (Robert Carlyle, Trainspotting) has a problem his banter is so tedious that hes become a liability at his Glasgow workplace. As events take a grisly turn and customers and staff start to disappear, Barney attracts the attention of local Detective Inspector Holdall (Ray Winstone, Sexy Beast). With blood on his hands, he turns to his bingo-loving mother, played by a near-unrecognisable Emma Thompson (Love Actually) to get him out of trouble.
