Description

For sustained organizational growth and innovation, learning and development (L&D) professionals must develop a learning mindset in all employees and an attitude of ongoing learning and constant improvement in the business as a whole. The Learning Mindset shows them how to achieve this. It explains what a learning mindset is, the individual benefits and most importantly, the business benefits. It explains the competencies needed for this approach including curiosity, resilience, innovation, realism and proactive problem solving and how to structure L&D activity to develop these traits in all employees. There is also guidance on how to build a culture of continuous learning across the whole business and discussion of why this environment boosts the profits and performance of the organization. This new book from an international learning expert also outlines how to foster social learning between colleagues, how to build learning into team dynamics and how a learning approach can turn business challenges into opportunities. There is clear guidance on where technology can be used to support learning in the business as well as its limitations. Full of practical advice and real-world examples from global organizations including Toyota, Canon, Mondelez, SwissPort, Tractabel and MCI Group, this is ideal reading for all mid-level and senior learning professionals.
