Just like the ones before it The Last Watch is another fine novel from the master of Supernatual fiction. In fact someone who reviewed it said “never mind Stephenie Meyer this is the Twilight series you should be reading.” It's intelligent, funny, well-written (and translated) and has an awesome cast of characters.
The hero of the hour is Anton (Night Watch and Higher Other by mistake) who is sent on a seemingly mundane mission to Edinburgh to what first appears to be an open and shut case of murder. Turns out it's not that simple after all. From Scotland to Uzbekistan (it's a country in Central Asia for those who have never heard of it) this is cracking read. Enjoy.
