Centred around the black plague, this book was set in the 1300s in the Dorsefeshire area, England. . Some of the book was about a group of men camping out of their usual area, on the way to find out what caused this mysterious disease. . Some of the book touches on Lady Anne and Lady Eleanor (mother/daughter) whom, both, did not meet eye to eye. Lady Eleanor is considered cruel and unkind and a bit of the book touches on the subject of their relationship. . I found this a disappointing read, due to the fact (And given it is a historical fiction) that I wanted more from the story on the angle of the history side of things, what they wore and the lay of the land. Although there was a few touches of what the food might be like, which did intrigue me.
