Description

Marine Pvt. Donnie 'Moondoggie' Easton and his friend Junior Peterson survive their tour of duty in Vietnam. They both escape during the fall of Saigon. Easton unknowingly brings the horrors or war home with him. Among the souvenirs tucked in his knapsack is the Killing Mirror, a memento Easton gathered during reconnaissance of a bombed Viet Cong tunnel. A single glance into the Mirror unleashes uncontrolled strength and murderous rage. The spell is broken only after the chosen victim is defeated . . . or dead. Once home in small-town Grafton, Illinois Easton kills two men with a chainsaw while under the spell of the Killing Mirror. His rampage is stopped only by twin shotgun blasts.Lo van Dehn, the Viet Cong soldier and cult leader responsible for safeguarding the Killing Mirror, follows Easton to the US. He tracks Easton into Mexico and then across the US by following evidence of his violence. Then the trail goes cold. Dehn has no way of knowing that the Killing Mirror is tucked away and forgotten in a dresser drawer in Easton's childhood home. Not until twenty years later does the Mirror resurface after coming into the possession of a young married couple, Allan and Nancy Novack. And a new round of violence and terror is unleashed . . . .
