Roy Buford Jackson was born, raised, and educated in the capital city of Austin, Texas. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his master's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He had a long career in engineering with major companies (thirty-five years), followed by becoming a system/software contractor (twenty years).
