He also wrote a ton, including several articles, reviews, and historical works. "The History of England from the Accession of James II," which is still regarded as a classic of English literature, is Macaulay's most well-known book. His perceptive works on literary and historical subjects were well-known and highly esteemed for their clarity, humor, and intelligence. Writings by Macaulay expressed his staunch beliefs about the value of history, literature, and education in forming society.
