Description

The Gospel of Mark dispensationally considered is a resource to Christians and non-Christians alike to help them wade through the Sea of confusion that many searchers are drowning in. One voice says, "You can't take the Bible literally" while another sees a mystical interpretation to every verse and they make it say what they want it to say. The gospel of Mark is one of four gospel accounts that portrays the last three years of Jesus' life beginning with the Baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist (the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins) and ending with his resurrection. The gospel (good news) that is preached in its pages is the gospel of the kingdom. The kingdom was "at hand" while Jesus (Israel's King) was with his people. That kingdom was offered and rejected by it's religious and political leaders, and now it is on hold until the dispensation runs it's course and ends with the rapture of the body of Christ (the Church). The story begins in the 69th week of Daniel's 70 weeks of prophecy. The 70th week did not take place because the kingdom was rejected in its 69th weekwhen the King first appeared, but just like Joseph and Moses were not recognized as Israel's deliverers, but were recognized and accepted the second time they appeared, so to Jesus will be accepted as their King and Saviour at that time. Things are taught in Mark, and the other three gospels that are specifically for the nation of Israel while they were under the law of Moses. When Jesus came, he came as a minister of the circumcision to confirm the promises made unto to the fathers. Romans 15:8. Many things that are prophetic in the book of Mark are for the 70th week of Daniel also known as the time of Jacob's Trouble found in Jeremiah 30:7. Many parables were used by Jesus to describe what it will be like in the long awaited kingdom that will immediately follow the 70th week of Daniel (also know as the Tribulation Period in the book of Revelation.
