Description

Fleeing a humiliating and much-publicized divorce, film scholar Mike Buckman rents a remote cabin on the Griswold Ranch in Black Ash Canyon. The ranch is in Santa Barbara County, near the fictional towns of Las Sombras, New Aarhus, and Lassiter Springs. He is soon drawn into the area's colorful past- fires, outlaws, mines, oil wells, a land dispute, a serial killer, and ghosts. He meets the alarming Valentina Griswold, her compatible daughter Cheyenne, and a cranky recluse named Solomon Barlow. A string of inexplicable events lead Mike, Cheyenne, and Solly to consult Billy Steele, their charismatic but opinionated neighbor. These four canyon residents become the founding members of a new team of paranormal investigators called "Ghost Killers." Their adventures test Mike's bravery and intelligence as well as his beliefs about supernatural phenomena. This novel's suspenseful, cleverly evolving plot will delight fans of both ghost stories and mysteries.
