Excerpt from The Firewood Industry in Georgia: A Study of Its Characteristics and Needs One of the more significant aspects of the firewood industry on which addition al information was needed was the pro portion of firms that was in business dur ing each month of the year. It could be anticipated that the level of sales would be lower in non-heating months, but the number of firms that operated during those months was unknown. Each firm was asked to indicate for each month whether it was in business full-time, parttime, or not in business for that month.
