• Premiere Production: The Fever was originally performed in various apartments, primarily in New York, to audiences of ten to twelve people, before receiving a first official production at The Public Theater in 1990.  • Obie Award Winner: The Fever won the 1991 Obie Award for Best Play. • Recent Revival: The Fever was revived in 2021 by Audible Theater at the Minetta Lane Theatre in New York in a production starring Lili Taylor, now available as an audioplay through Audible. • Filmed Adaptation: The Fever was adapted into a 2004 film by Shawn and director Carlo Gabriel Nero.
