When Phoebe was a young pup, she was adopted from a shelter by Jeana and Frank. She had no idea how exciting life with her forever family would be. Phoebe's new parents planned to take her with them on all their boat trips. Come along as Phoebe tells the story of her first boat trip to Sailors Haven on Fire Island. When they took off into the Great South Bay, Phoebe was a bit frightened, but she soon realized what a delightful adventure she and her new parents would have as they explored the wondrous national park from the forest to the beach, making friends along the way.

Author Biography:

Jean Derespina is a small business owner who writes marketing materials for her clients. In addition to her business writing, she has been a created writer for many years, but this is her first published book. Jean and her husband, Frank, spent about 20 years boating on Long Island. They often spent weekends or longer at the Fire Island National Seashore communities. Amelina Jones is an illustrator with a passion or nature, tea, and stories. She works in traditional watercolor and ink, incorporating storytelling elements and emotions into her work. the gentle form of watercolor mixed with her unique, whimsical style creates illustrations that aim to enhance a story and bring it to life.
