Description

Navigate your way through 40 CFR with this time-saving resource The fourth edition of this popular reference provides definitions for more than 5,000 terms of the Environmental Protection Agency's Code of Federal Regulations Title 40 (40 CFR) to help readers better understand and follow these complex compliance regulations. Each term is defined using the exact wording found in 40 CFR, and every definition for a given term is included to ensure thoroughness. This publication also serves as an excellent guide to finding topics in the 30,000-page 40 CFR. Unlike the cumbersome 40 CFR, which is organized by section, all the Dictionary's terms and definitions are presented in alphabetical order for easy access. Each term is then cross-referenced to the section of 40 CFR. No other resource provides this time-saving cross-referencing service. Environmental compliance officers are often frustrated by the Environmental Protection Agency's lack of consistency in its definitions, which can change from one regulatory area to another. It can, therefore, be difficult to determine which section of 40 CFR a particular definition applies to. The Dictionary, with its thorough cross-referencing, eliminates the confusion and tedium of poring through 40 CFR by providing readers with accurate term definitions and leading them directly to the appropriate section of 40 CFR. All compliance officers, consultants and attorneys who need a well-organized reference to all the definitions spread throughout 40 CFR will find the Dictionary to be an indispensable desktop resource.
