Description

Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) remains one of the most effective forms of neurostimulation for severe mental illness. The Electroconvulsive Therapy Workbook is a practical guide to the clinical application of ECT in psychiatric practice internationally. Integrating the history of ECT with recent advances in practice and clinical experience, the book is richly illustrated with historical and technical images and includes 'clinical wisdom' sections which present clinical scenarios and problem solving questions. The companion website outlines regionally-specific legislation governing ECT practice, practice guidelines and other key issues. This book is essential reading for any mental health professionals who require a comprehensive understanding of current ECT practice.
