"SKYRIM GOTY!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Among other Bethesda games such as Fallout 3, Rage and Brink. Skyrim has by far exceeded the previous instalments of The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Oblivion.

I have played for at least 60–80hours and I still feel like I have not done anything to scratch the surface. There is so much content in this game alone. You would think that quests stacked up in Fallout 3 is a lot… Well think again, I have piled up a ton of quests, from guilds, misc, main plot, to even random travellers! It does not seem like these quests will be easy to get rid of.

The book is endless! It's like a bible! with 600+ pages of content, plus an extra map and a code to use online for another map. Bethesda has outdone themselves in Skyrim.

TIME TO PLAY SOME MORE SKYRIM!

"The closest an RPG has gotten to perfection yet"

I did not play any elder scrolls, or Bethesda RPG games before skyrim. People always boast about it's large world that takes you in and let's you handcraft your own story and character the way you want. I always thought they were exaggerating a bit, but they weren't, aside from a few tiny flaws this game is perfect.

I will have to make everything into a one line point, because there is so much to talk about.

Positives: Amazing world, great story, epic quests and soundtrack, let's you make your character exactly how you want it, great crafting system, runs without any major bugs or glitches, everything feels spontaneous and not scripted, great combat, great replayability, innumerable things to do, great choice for races and the looks of your character (including the armor and weapons you use)

Negatives: Characters only have one mood, they never get angry happy or surprised, inventory system plus the lack of money that the vendors have makes item hunting annoying sometimes, difficulty of certain enemies can feel odd at times

Amazing game and it will probably end up being game of the year at most gaming sites

"Total badassery"

Oblivion was a breakthrough to gaming, but Skyrim blows Oblivion to pieces in every way. Skyrim offers a huge amount diversity in regards to gameplay, for example the visuals are intensely realistic. I found myself trudging through a harsh blizzard and could barely see 10 feet in front of me, I actually started to feel cold, I then came across a small village and headed towards the local inn to warm up by the huge log fire they had burning. The shear amount of items the game has is incredible and each one has been masterfully rendered in 3D, certain items even contain clues to puzzles in which you must examine to find the answer. The amount of weaponry and mage abilities are literally massive, as are the dungeons and cave systems found throughout Skyrim, over 150 in all, and each have been crafted to be absolutely unique to the other. The best part of this game is how open ended it is and how you can play at your own pace, you choose when to do a certain mission or choose not to do it at all. Each mission is broken up into several segments which gives you a chance to have a break and explore, or sell goods or upgrade abilities, whatever you like. Another notable mention that sets Skyrim apart from Oblivion are the dragons and the dragon ‘shouts’. Scattered across the world of Skyrim are words of power that have been inscribed in the dragon tongue, each word enables the player to perform a powerful ability by ‘shouting’ the word, it could be fire breath, slow time, relentless force, or any number of other powerful abilities. All up, if this game doesn't turn you on then you aren't human.

Also, I pre-ordered this game which Mighty Ape delivered promptly and I received on release date, thanks Mighty Ape, I had problems pre-ordering from nzgameshop.com who took 8 days to deliver my Battlefield 3 game, not happy, Mighty Ape FTW!!
