In an Irish seaside town, widower Michael - a single father with two children - signs up to volunteer at the annual literary festival in the hope that it will distract him from the otherworldly visions haunting him. One of his duties is to look after Lena, the author of several books about the supernatural. As Michael’s visions intensify, so does his attraction to Lena, but the budding romance stalls when her ex-lover comes to town.
