Geboren am 4.11.1890 in Crossen an der Oder. Eigentlich Alfred Henschke. Apothekerssohn. Ab seinem 16. Lebensjahr lungenkrank; haufig in Schweizer Sanatorien. Studierte Philosophie und Literatur in Munchen und Lausanne; dann freier Schriftsteller in Munchen und Berlin. War mit Benn befreundet, in moralische und politische Skandale verwickelt, wegen Gotteslasterung angeklagt, immer vom Tode bedroht. Klabund starb am 14.8.1928 in Davos.Deutscher Dichter. Dramatiker, Lyriker, Erzahler zwischen Impressionismus und Expressionismus. Sein Werk war, da stark erotisch oder pazifistisch, haufigen Anfeindungen ausgesetzt.
