Description

When three schoolchildren deliver a letter to an archaeologist, they accept his invitation to join him, as he upgrades the marble tomb of a knight. Here, when Daisy, one of the children is left alone, at the tomb, a professor of ancient history returns from the past, and asks her to accept a task, with her two companions. The task is urgent, it must commence almost immediately, to rescue a young knight, imprisoned by Dill, an evil wizard. The children accept the task, and immediately, Daisy, eleven -years -old, and Timmy and Drew both 12, begin a strange journey through time, going back over a thousand years, to release the knight in the space of three days. Through danger, shocking threats, narrow escapes, they journey on, all the time, pursued by Dill, the evil wizard, who fears for his life, if the knight is released. On the journey to Cornwall, they meet Jimmy the Swine, the famous, cunning smuggler, Pa, the charming pixie, who lives in the mineshafts, Raven, who travels through time, and wolfhounds, as tall as horses. As the clock strikes nine, and the timescale is met, the children return home, only with memories, and the story of a strange journey through time, when they discovered, finally, that they have saved the life of a young teenage knight, the son of one of the most famous kings of all times.
