You may consider this as a work of philosophical fiction, or perhaps more appropriately; a work of anagogic allegory. Compared to other works in The Conversations series of books, in this working it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between the two speakers in dialogue. This is testament to the closeness which has since been forged. As you read, it's best not to concern yourself with elucidating who is saying what. Let the two voices merge and flow in and out of one another; this is a part of the magic of the working. The gist of this conversation begins, peaks, and ends, on the attainment and the understanding of Immortality. Death is not a needful experience nor a necessary process.
