Author Biography:

Thomas C. Todd is on the faculty of the Chicago Centerfor Family Health and is the former Chair of the Marriage andFamily Therapy Department at the Adler School of ProfessionalPsychology, Chicago, USA. He is internationally known for his bookwith M. Duncan Stanton, The Family Therapy of Drug Abuse andAddiction (1982), and for Family Therapy Approaches withAdolescent Substance Abusers (1991). A longstanding member of theAmerican Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) he hasrecently focused on international training, working with therapistsand supervisors in Scandinavia, Brazil, and Romania. Cheryl L. Storm is Professor Emerita and former Directorof the Marriage and Family Therapy program, Pacific LutheranUniversity, USA. Her papers on education and supervision haveappeared in the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, Journal ofSystemic Therapies, Handbook of Clinical Issues in Couple Therapy,and Handbook of Family Therapy. In addition to teaching supervisioncourses for community supervisors in the USA, Canada and Mexico,she currently consults and does workshops on supervision inAsia. She has been a longstanding and active member of theAmerican Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
