Love the Brokenwood series; the scenery, the town, the residents, the sense of humour and the community – I feel so at home that it reminds me of my town, although I am glad my neighbours are not so murderous. The same interesting characters keep on appearing. Issues with the latest series might be the recycling of earlier characters in a way that is inconsistent. Like the explanation of Jared's absence seems an afterthought (and lame), and why is Nicki Stone, who inherited a fortune in the first series, now stealing credit cards. Apart from that, this stands as my favourite who-dunnit series, with that final all-clicking-together explanation at the end, done in a way that is smoother to most of the others. I am always still left guessing until the end – which is a good thing.
We love it
Love the series. Great stories, characters and location. Recommend it
I love this show and can watch it again and again.
If you have enjoyed any of the earlier seasons you will certainly enjoy season 5
Love this series as its well written, some good twists and very well acted. Also enjoy the “regular” characters that pop up across all the series. Here's hoping they keep making this show for a few more years.
