Description

They say that if you put a frog into a pot of boiling water, it will leap right out to escape the danger. But, if you put a frog into a pot filled with water that is cool and pleasant, and then you gradually heat the kettle until it starts boiling, the frog will be unaware of the threat until it is too late. This parable is often used to illustrate how humans have to be careful to watch slowly changing trends in their surroundings, such as in a marriage, for example, not just the sudden changes. It's a warning to keep us paying close attention, not just to obvious threats, but also to more slowly developing ones. Hannah is a strong girl becoming a woman with a supportive family until fate steps in and threatens to change the strong woman she has worked so hard to become. Hannah has always been reminded by her mother of the three boys that she grew up with and how each one would make excellent husband material. Unfortunately for Hannah, she chooses wrong thus hurling herself into a violent existence with her mistake, but just when she thinks it can't get any worse, it does and through her persistence and strong nature, she climbs out the other side a better woman, thus opening herself up to something new.

Author Biography:

I have had a passion for writing since I was a child writing scripts for the plays me and my cousin's would perform for our parents, winning the Young Writer's award at my school in the second grade for a book called "The Evergreen Tree," writing articles for our school newspaper and yearbook, writing a research article that was published in the American Occupational Therapy Journal, and now, I have written two women's fiction novels, with a third one in progress. I believe in a couple of things with all that I am. 1. Light hearted humor can unburden a heavy heart. In my first two books, you will find loads of humor and laughter. 2. Life has a way of handing out a lot of heartache. I've decided to use bits of it in my novels. If you can't beat it, use it in a book!
