Description

John Leech (29 August 1817 - 29 October 1864 in London) was an English caricaturist and illustrator. Daniel Maclise RA (25 January 1806 - 25 April 1870) was an Irish history, literary and portrait painter, and illustrator, who worked for most of his life in London, England................. He created some of the world's best-known fictional characters and is regarded by many as the greatest novelist of the Victorian era. His works enjoyed unprecedented popularity during his lifetime, and by the 20th century critics and scholars had recognised him as a literary genius. His novels and short stories enjoy lasting popularity...................
