Description

Nine countries border the Baltic Sea with thousands of harbors and anchorages. The information in this book is chosen for its value both for planning - preparing the yacht, choosing the most suitable route, timing, etc - and at arrival, when a general overview of each individual country is followed by specific harbor information. Where detailed cruising information is readily available - Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Finland - only selected harbours are covered, chosen, with a few exceptions, as fulfilling certain key needs. Where cruising information is more limited - Poland, Kaliningrad, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Russia - many smaller harbors are also featured in detail. Finally, over 350 photos and full color plans give an unrivalled look at what the Baltic has in store. Most of the photos were taken by experienced yachtsmen and women during their own cruises, giving a truly authentic picture of the region. More than 200 websites are listed, again chosen for their relevance.
