Description

Nine years ago, the torture magician Zenith failed in her bid to drill and recover a pocket of Soloman's Liquid deep below the surface in Oklahoma. Soloman's Liquid grants a torture magician immortality, and that and the powerful army of were-creatures the liquid would have created from males exposed to it would have given Zenith the ability to control the world, and thus secure her safety forever. But her failure here didn't happen in a parallel dimension, a dimension where she consigned paranormal Jennifer Saunders, who failed to stop Zenith in Oklahoma. For nine years, Jennifer has fought the parallel Zenith with the aid of her 'soul' survivors and her alters, for Jennifer suffers from dissociative identity disorder. They lost. Now Zenith has established Project Shift in Illinois, seeking another pocket of Soloman's Liquid. Jennifer returns from the parallel world to stop her. But she cannot succeed alone. Fortunately, she has allies in Special Operations, the government entity that handles paranormal management: Sam and Bam Grant; Searly McTaggert, taking a pause in her search for Quafara; Brent Jasper and Sheila Warren, Jen's old friends form her first adventure; and Marrina. Marrina? Yes, the mythical ruler of Atlantia is apparently real . . . and quite annoyed.
