Description

Holland Thompson was an American historian who wrote about the South after the Civil War. He received his Ph. D. from Columbia University in 1901, and became a full professor of history at City College of New York. The Age of Invention: a chronicle of mechanical conquest was published in 1921. The book outlines the inventions of some of America's notable inventors and gives an insight into their personalities.
