Description

What are the secrets of successful teams? Why do some teams achieve remarkable success while others fail? The answers to these questions are provided in a book which outlines the results of a three-year study of teams and team achievement. Interviewing a wide range of teams, which included the investigation team of the Challenger space shuttle disaster and a championship American football team, the authors discovered a surprising consistency in the characteristics of effective teams. The core of the book explores the eight properties of successful teams, while a final chapter examines priorities in team-building. Concepts and theories are combined throughout the text with practical advice on teamwork.
