Updates on Takaya and other wolves in the area are regularly reported in local and national media. Coastal wolves are extremely popular, and interest in this unique wolf population continues to garner local, national, and international attention. Cheryl Alexander’s writing is highly personal and evocative. It’s devoid of “dead-eyed” academic analysis and focuses on a more popular approach to the ecology and science of Takaya’s life. The book will contain approximately 100 stunning photographs that show Takaya in his natural habitat and engaging in daily activities: swimming, hunting, eating, sleeping, howling, and playing.
