Two plays. 'Svetlana in Slingbacks' is a vivid look back to the Cold War Sixties, when the gleam of the Sputnik was the only link with home for a ebullient family of Russian immigrants. It is a splendid tragic comedy that shows the effects of huge cultural change upon hope and expectations. (6 male, 3 female, 1 alien). 'Post Felicity' is a bitingly funny portrait of a self-obsessed couple, a fiendish employer, and their bizarre reactions to a tragic event. It is a savage satire of three baby-boomers fighting in a mire of their own waking. (2 male, 1 female).
