Author Biography:

Edmund Danziger is a Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of History at Bowling Green State University. Since earning his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, he has published two books, The Chippewas of Lake Superior, Indians and Bureaucrats: Administering the Reservation Policy During the Civil War, and Great Lakes Indian Accommodation and Resistance During the Early Reservation Years, 1850-1900.
