Bronchopneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida or Mannheimia haemolytica has a devastating effect on sheep and goats of all ages and cause heavy losses in sheep industries in many parts of the world. Pasteurellosis in sheep locally mean "Giffaw" is widely distributed in highlands of Wollo, and is considered as one of respiratory diseases in sheep population. Death loss in lambs is usually over 2 % but may reach as high as 20 %. Pasteurollosis in sheep is a high-priority issue at the South Wollo level due to the significant economic losses it causes through mortality, morbidity, and the high cost of treatment.so, organized epidemiological investigation should be taken for the determination of the magnitude and the distribution of the various serotypes of Mannhaemia and Pasteurella in different parts of the country.
