Description

Stranded is a novel about love and betrayal among friends and lovers, husbands and wives. For years, Elia and her husband Jorge have spent their summers with their friends Eva and Pablo at a resort town on the Costa Brava. Author Biography:

Barcelona in 1936, Esther Tusquets directed the Barcelona publishing house Editorial Lumen from the 1960s to 2000. In the late 1970s Ms. Tusquets published a highly acclaimed narrative cycle which caused a sensation arriving on the scene just after the end of the repressive Franco regime. She has published novels, short story collections, autobiographical works and children's books, all to critical acclaim for their innovative style and feminine consciousness. Susan E. Clark is the translator of Esther Tusquets s "Stranded". She lives in New Mexico, where she resides with her Costa Rican husband and six dogs and cats.
