Allah the Most Exalted says in the Quran: We are relating unto you the most beautiful stories in that which we have revealed to you from the Quran, though before it you were from among those who were not aware of them. God wanted to guide the people pf Ad, so He sent a prophet from among them. This prophet was Salih (pbuh). He called his people to worship Allah alone, and to not associate partners with Him. Salih warned his people each day and night, then thunderbolts filled the air, followed by severe earthquakes which destroyed the entire tribe and its homeland.
